The Mola Mola Lupe phono stage has reviewer Kevin Fiske all of a flutter and declaring an unqualified wow for the-ear.net. He says: “I’d characterise the Lupe’s sound as neutral, but capable of delivering quite shocking weight and slam along with dense tonal and textural detail. I think some might find its disinclination to editorialise unsettling but the Lupe would not be the first audio component to challenge listeners who want a sound that is lush and valvey. As well as being neutral it is also forensic, showing the differences between recordings like few alternatives that I have heard…Few of us will have much need for the full extent of the Lupe’s notable flexibility, but we can all acknowledge and appreciate remarkably strong sonic value when we hear it.”
